Minutes

The Bancroft County Public Health Board of Trustees met at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Community Services Building, Adams Junction. Chair Rao called the meeting to order.

Present: Trustees Rao, Kellerman, Benitez, Hoyt, and Mehta. Also present: Public Health Director Dr. Lena Foss and Community Health Nurse Supervisor Karen Whitfield, RN.

Motion by Mehta, seconded by Kellerman, to approve the January 16 minutes. Carried 5–0.

Director Foss presented the financial report; the maternal health grant application submitted in January is under state review.

Foss provided a communicable disease update, noting a seasonal rise in influenza consistent with regional trends and no reportable outbreaks in county facilities.

Staff presented a proposal for a Community Health Fair to be held in May at the Adams Junction community center. Motion by Benitez, seconded by Hoyt, to approve the health fair and a $2,500 program budget. Carried 5–0.

The Board reviewed the department's FY2026 budget request prior to its submission to the Board of Supervisors and expressed support without changes.

The Board acknowledged the Board of Supervisors' reappointment of Trustee Mehta to a new three-year term.

With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:52 p.m.. Next meeting: as scheduled.
